The Billerica Police Patrol Division is directed by Deputy Chief Daniel Doyle and is comprised of approximately four Lieutenants, Six Sergeants and 29 Patrol Officers. The Patrol Division is the backbone of the department.

The most important resources within the Patrol Division are the people. Our primary goal is to maintain a professional, highly trained and well-educated force of police officers to provide the community with the highest level of police service and protection.

Patrol officers handle the initial response to 911 calls, regular calls for police service and complete the intitial report of criminal activity. Many criminal investigations are also conducted at the patrol level.

Patrol officers are the most visible police presence in the community and it is their job to provide primary law enforcement services to the public 24 hours a day, each and every day of the year. Patrol officers are trained to quickly respond, assess, and manage all kinds of situations.

The Patrol Division operates a fleet of Ford Interceptors as well as two Ford Explorers during inclement weather. In addition to standard patrol the Billerica Police Department also employs a number of specialized units. Please access the links below to find out more.
